North South Wines is a B Corp-certified wine importer and distributor, set up in 2014 with the ambition to ‘do things differently’. Our mission is to champion better business in wine distribution and add value across the supply chain. We are a business that moves at speed, innovating, spotting trends, going beyond industry norms, and always looking for ways to improve our portfolio, our service and our impact.
Our business model involves three winery partners - The Wine People, Reh Kendermann and De Bortoli Wines - each of them dynamic and respected family businesses that are fully invested in our future. Today, we’re proud to represent 45 brilliant, predominantly family-owned producers from 14 countries around the world in a diverse portfolio that offers something for everyone.
Sustainability

At North South Wines, how we do business matters as much as the wine we distribute. B Corp gave us a roadmap for continual improvement, and ISO 14001 has since formalised our commitment to sustainable practice across our value chain and operations. Together they keep us accountable and show us where we can do better.
Our new sustainability strategy builds on that foundation. The five pillars - collective action, people, packaging, value chain and sourcing - give us clear targets on everything from net zero and lighter bottles to inclusion and supporting our local community through our partnership with Oxfordshire mental health charity Restore. We’re open about what’s working and what isn’t, and our annual Impact Report covers the successes, the near-misses and the failures. You can read the latest one here.
Industry recognition
The team’s hard work has been recognised across the industry. In 2026, we placed first in the Harpers Top 50 Drinks Wholesalers, up from third the previous year. We have also won Agent of the Year (Medium) at the IWC Awards and Distribution Company of the Year at The Drinks Business Awards. Our founder and managing director Kim Wilson, named The Drinks Business Woman of the Year, sits on the Executive Board of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA).
